This Privacy Policy explains how Open Interaction, Inc. ("Open Interaction," "OI," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit openinteraction.com (the "Site"), join our model waitlist, or contact us.
This policy covers the Site only. If you later use an OI hosted service or API, its own privacy terms will also apply.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us
Waitlist. When you join the waitlist, we collect:
- your work email address (required);
- your company name (optional);
- the model families you're interested in (Video, Voice, Multimodal, World models);
- what you're building, if you choose to tell us (optional free text);
- a source label showing that the request came from the Site.
Please don't include confidential or sensitive information in the free-text field.
Contact and inquiries. If you email us or use a contact form, we collect the information you include, such as your name, email address, company, and the content of your message.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
- device and browser information, such as browser type, operating system, and language;
- your IP address and the approximate location derived from it (country or city level);
- usage information, such as pages viewed, referring URL, and time on page;
- information collected through cookies, local storage, and similar technologies (see Section 5).
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information through the Site.
2. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- manage the waitlist, and email you about access to the model families you selected;
- understand demand and use cases so we can prioritize what to build and whom to invite first;
- respond to your inquiries;
- send updates about the access you requested, or other communications you separately sign up for (you can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails where available, or by contacting us);
- understand how the Site is used and improve its content and performance;
- protect the Site against abuse, fraud, and security threats;
- comply with legal obligations.
Legal bases (EEA and UK visitors). We rely on your consent (for example, for optional communications and non-essential storage), on steps you ask us to take (for example, contacting you about the access you requested), on our legitimate interests (for example, operating, securing, and improving the Site), and on compliance with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not currently use advertising pixels or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. How We Share Information
We share personal information only as follows:
- Service providers that help us run the Site, store waitlist sign-ups, and communicate with you. They currently include: our hosting provider, which hosts the Site; Google Forms, which stores waitlist sign-ups; Supabase, which stores contact form submissions. The Site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when fonts are requested.
- Legal and safety. When required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of OI, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
- With your consent or at your direction.
4. International Transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, for transfers of personal information from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for the following categories:
- strictly necessary storage to operate the Site and remember your privacy choices;
- functional storage to save preferences such as contact-form drafts on this device, if you enable it;
- analytics storage to support aggregate page-view measurement, if you enable it. We do not currently load third-party analytics tools;
- marketing storage, which is reserved for future campaign attribution or embedded media if added later and is off unless you enable it.
Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before using non-essential storage, and you can change your choice at any time through the Cookie preferences button in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings.
6. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above:
- waitlist data: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until 24 months after the model families you selected become generally available, whichever comes first;
- inquiry correspondence: up to 24 months after our last interaction;
- analytics data: we do not currently retain third-party analytics data.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information, including removing yourself from the waitlist;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- receive a copy of your information in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing that happened before;
- opt out of marketing emails.
California residents have the right to know, delete, and correct their personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA and CPRA.
To exercise your rights, email privacy@openinteraction.com. We may need to verify your identity before we respond. If you are in the EEA or UK, you can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, give additional notice where appropriate.
